St. Patrick’s Community Support Centre

Youth Place

The Youth Place program is funded by DCPFS and is under the auspices of the St Patrick’s Community Support Services. Youth Place is in partnership with Youth Futures WA.

This program offers transitional housing to young people between the ages of 15 and 25 years. The support provided by Youth Place consists of intensive case management with home visits on a weekly basis for up to twelve months. Prior to being accommodated, clients clients will be seen as outreach clients and will require to maintain monthly contact/visit with their allocated youth support worker.

Depending on the identified needs of the client, the home visits may be reduced to fortnightly towards the end of their time with Youth Place. After being accommodated for six months, support workers will refer the client to the Housing Authority, Anglicare or look at other alternative housing pathways, provided they have no rental arrears, have adequately maintained the property and have positive relationships with their neighbours.
