Building homes for people in our community.

A lack of affordable housing stock is one of the major drivers of homelessness in Western Australia.

St Pat’s partnered with “My Home” Australasia to build 18 new, long-term homes for women over 55 experiencing homelessness.

The construction of the North Fremantle homes was funded by Lotterywest, the Minderoo Foundation and the Sisters of St John of God.

Close to public transport in North Fremantle, the properties have been built using prefabricated panels, allowing most of the construction to take place off-site, and come fully furnished and landscaped, ready for residents to move in.

The high performance, long-term homes represent the first project for “My Home” Australasia.

My Home Project

“My Home” is a demonstration of the Private Public Partnership (PPP) model.

It brings together underutilised land (such as government land reserves), philanthropic donations and in-kind support from business and the community to provide housing solutions.
